LOL – Actually, I’m a Stewart or an Andrew (father’s and mother’s sides respectively). ;)
I’ve only ever read the first book, but I know someone who was after a thistle design with this motto for a bookmark, as she loves the books, and this was the design that came to me.
The Scottish Stitch sections in three different colours is supposed to vaguely resemble tartan (although those are not the Fraser colours – I just wanted to keep the thistle colour scheme). And those sections can be repeated if a longer bookmark is required…

I have read most all of the series. I am currently reading An Echo in the Bone,
I love to see your patterns – Your designs appeal to the beginner and well seasoned cross stitchers — just one of the wonderful qualities of your tremendous works.
Many thanks. from CANADA
Eventually I will find time to cross stitch some of your designs,

Hi,
I’m a French-speaking person and i’d like to tell you that the sentence on your chart is not correct (except if your (sur)name is Prest !!!!!)
Maybe did you mean “Je suis prête” = (i’m ready) ?
“Prêt” is for a man. “Prête” (with an “e” at the end) is for a woman).

It’s the Clan Fraser motto which reads “Je suis prest” as shown.
You can see a picture of their crest with the motto here:
